Factors affecting network monitoring

Surveillance cameras cannot only focus on pixels.

When connecting the network cable to the monitoring device, it may be the same type of network cable. We tested that it can pass 8 million pixels, but the customer cannot pass it because it is related to the camera and monitoring machine settings.

Because different cameras have differences in frame rate, bitrate, resolution, and even encoding, ultimately affecting clarity and smoothness.
Even with the same 8-megapixel camera, 30 frames per second will be smoother and transmit more data than 25 frames per second.
Or a video with a bit rate of 2000Kbps will transmit more data and have better clarity than a video with a bit rate of 1000Kbps.

So, we mainly look at how much bandwidth the network cable can support. As long as our network cable has a specified length to support the required bandwidth, it can meet the needs of the camera. Otherwise, it will be unusable.
